Registration Information

Player Requirements and Registration

All participants MUST register with USA Hockey prior to registering with the association.  In addition to the great benefits USA Hockey brings to the sport in general, USA Hockey requires this registration for players and coaches as USA Hockey carries AHYHA's insurance.  If there are any injuries on the ice, USA Hockey holds that liability so your player or coach is covered.

Each participant will pay a USA Hockey registration fee if age 7 or older. The USA Hockey fee is waived for age 6 and younger. Registration must be completed for all players regardless of age.
Each Traveling or Mite/8U family is required to complete 12 hours of volunteer work for each hockey season. Volunteer commitment information and payment commitment will be collected as a part of player registration.  New this year a $250 volunteer deposit per family will be collected upon registration.  The deposit will be refunded upon completion of volunteer hour requirements. Each family must register all children in one registration session to avoid multiple deposits collected.
A volunteer opt out fee of $225 may be paid upon registration to exempt a family from volunteer hour requirements. Families that do not elect the opt out fee then do not comply with their volunteer commitment will be charged $275 at the end of the season. First time hockey families (those never having ANY child play hockey with a USA Hockey affiliated association) are exempt.
