We are pleased to announce we have upgraded to a new registration platform. This is an integrated system with USA Hockey so once you've obtained your USA Hockey number please give the system a few minutes to update and recognize your number so it can pull in your registration details!
Each family is required to complete 12 hours of volunteer work for the 2018-2019 hockey season. We are not collecting manual checks for this requirement as we have done in past years. Please note that during the registration process, you will be prompted to check a box that allows AHYHA to charge your credit card for $275 at the end of March, 2019 for unfulfilled volunteer hours. You will not be able to complete your registration if this box is not checked.
According to our affiliation agreement with Minnesota Hockey, the membership boundary for AHYHA is defined by the geographic attendance boundary of Andover High School. You can find out if your child’s residence or school is in our membership boundary by following this link to the Andover High School Enrollment Area Map,http://www.anoka.k12.mn.us/domain/80.
Participation policies and rules are defined in the Minnesota Hockey Handbook, http://www.minnesotahockey.org/.
Youth Hockey players must register and participate with the association whose boundaries incorporate the player’s residence. To participate on any other association's team, the player must obtain a waiver. Both AHYHA and District 10 will be auditing the addresses so it is important you know which association your child belongs so you are placed on the correct team roster.
A waiver shall be granted to any player who wishes to participate in the MH association whose boundaries incorporate the school in which the player is enrolled and is attending. In addition to the waiver, you must supply a copy of your enrollment verification to Amanda Goar prior to tryouts.
Players waived for non-school attendance reasons shall be subject to review and approval by the AHYHA waiver committee.
To find the procedure on obtaining and submitting waivers, and more information regarding participation eligibility restrictions please refer to the Minnesota Hockey Handbook, http://www.minnesotahockey.org/.
During registration this year, you will be asked additional questions for the Andover Hockey Association Board to determine your child's eligibility to play with AHYHA. Below are some of those questions that you will be asked.
1. Primary address of the players residence.
2. School of attendance during the most recent school year.
3. School of attendance during the upcoming school year.
4. School grade during the upcoming school year.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at Amanda.Goar@ahyha.com.

All participants MUST register with USA HOCKEY prior to registering with the association. You will get a nine digit confirmation bar code that needs to be entered at registration. The following is how to do this:
We pay $40 for each player to USA Hockey and $10 for each player to MN Hockey (USA Hockey affiliate). It is District 10 policy to require players to self register with USA Hockey during or before their association registration.
USA Hockey requires this payment for players and coaches as USA Hockey carries AHYHA's insurance. If there are any injuries on the ice, USA Hockey holds that liability so your player or coach is covered. Please see the attachment for USA Hockey Benefits: Benefits Doc
