Questions & Answers About USA Hockey Registration

Usahockey_small

In past years AHYHA has sent in all the player information to District 10 and they in turn send it to USA Hockey.  We pay $30 for each player to USA Hockey and $10 for each player to MN Hockey (USA Hockey affiliate).  This year District 10 is requiring us to have the players do this process, which is why you now need to go to their website and register first.  So your total will be $40 with $30 going to USA Hockey and $10 going to MN Hockey.  So the $10 is a legitimate charge.  However I don't believe USA Hockey tells you that before you get to the payment summary because each state has a different fee.

USA Hockey requires this payment for players and coaches because they carry our insurance.  So if there are any injuries on the ice, USA Hockey holds that liability so your player or coach is covered.  Please see the attachment for USA Hockey Benefits:  Benefits Doc
