Greetings D Mite Stars parents!!!! Hope that everyone is having a nice holiday week, my name is Holly Schifsky and I am Keaton Schifsky's mom.  This year I am a member of the SKATE planning committee and wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of this program offering within Andover Hockey.  The MN SKATE program is a way to recognize the academic accomplishments of our hockey players and teach them the importance of balancing academics and athletics.  In order for your child to qualify for the SKATE program they need to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first trimester of this school year and be in kindergarten-9th grade.  If you refer to the AHYHA website, there is specific information on qualifications, applicaiton, etc.  This year the committee has made many changes to the elementary grading criteria, so please review this information as it is easier for elementary students to earn a 3.0.

 

If your child qualifies, they will be invited to an end-of-the year banquet with many prizes. The committee is in the process of planning a very fun banquet and the more D Mite Stars the better to represent our team. The applications are located on the website. If you want to submit your child's application, please complete the form and submit a copy of the first trimester report card. Place these items in a sealed envelope and mark the outside with SKATE; put the envelope in the box at the ACC ice rink.
