1st Annual Andover Huskies Winter Classic
In honor of Hockey Day Minnesota, AHYHA hosted our 1st annual Andover Huskies Winter Classic! This was an outdoor event that involved our youngest Mites from Andover, Anoka and Blaine. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast!
A HUGE thank you goes out to Tony Howard as well as all of the other AHYHA members and community sponsors that worked tirelessly to get these outdoor rinks built. Because of your hard work and dedication, the community has a great place to skate and the hockey association has an awesome facility to hold practices as well as host outdoor events! THANK YOU!!! Another HUGE thank you goes out to Laurie Klepinger and all the volunteers who did such an awesome job organizing and running our 1st Andover Winter Classic. THANK YOU!! To see some pictures from the Winter Classic, click here.
U12B girls with Jonny Moll and Luke Jackson
Andover Bantam B1 players Luke Jackson and Jonny Moll collected 181 pounds of food and 10 big bags full of clothes (mostly coats, hats and mittens) from 9 AHYHA teams. They donated the items to Northern Anoka County Emergency Food Shelf and the Community Emergency Assistance Program who both were very appreciative of the items.
What a great way to give back to the community! Thank you so much to Jonny and Luke and to all of the Andover hockey players that participated!
